WINNER! Lucky competition entrant off to see Bad Company in Dublin

THE runes were cast, the curtains were drawn and the ancient ceremony took place...names were placed in the mystical hat (baseball cap) and the gnarled knuckles of doom reached to draw a winner...

And, lo Paul's name emerged as the recipient of a pair of tickets to see Bad Company in Dublin's 3Arena on October 14th.

They will be in the post soon.

Commiserations to those who entered and were not fortunate enough to win will just have to just buy tickets now.

After all it is with original members: Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke, plus support from Ritchie Sambora and Orianthi.

C'mon ya know ya want to go - you know you want to see these guys.

Oh, and the answer to the question? We asked you what was the name of the first Bad Company album - and the answer was....Bad Company. [Everyone, bar one entry...got that right. We're naming no names...]

COMPETITION: Win tickets to see Bad Company in Dublin with Ritchie Sambora and Orianthi

RIGHT you lot of reprobates - those kind folks at MCD have teamed up with our team of reprobates to offer you the chance to win two (2) tickets to see Bad Company on their 'Swan Song' tour in Dublin's 3Arena on Friday, 14th October.

And, as if the promise of seeing Bad Company wasn't enough to get your attention Ritchie Sambora with Orianthi will be the support (and, if you read Seatzie's review of Sambora in the Ulster Hall you'll know how exciting that is!)

Bad Company original members Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke.

"Returning to Ireland and the UK with Bad Company where it all began 40 plus years ago is full circle for the band and the fans," said Paul Rodgers.

“So looking forward to be playing in the Dublin for all our great Irish fans-- gonna be great," Mick Ralphs added.

“The Irish fans are special and we're going to give them a treat...” Simon Kirke added.

Special guests Richie Sambora + Orianthi (RSO) will open the show along with Steve Rodgers or Jasmine Rodgers as the first act.

Despite their reputation as one of the most exciting live bands to ever rock an arena, Bad Company never released a live album during its meteoric rise to the top of the charts until last month. LIVE IN CONCERT 1977 & 1979 was released last month via Rhino Records and also debuted on the UK album charts.

To win a pair of tickets just answer this simple question: What was the title of Bad Company's first album? Answer, with contact details to be sent here.

Rules are: If you're not in you can't win, and answers sent by carrier pigeon will not be accepted.
Please note travel and beer is not included - you must make your own way there and buy your own beer, food and other gig-going essentials.
